Shadow effect not working on my text

So I've made my first text where the fill is a picture, but now the shadow effect is not working, any ideas?

Clipping masks don't accept every effect or appearance. Drop shadows should work though.

Which settings do you have your your shadow?

A multiplying shadow will vanish on the dark background.

So I re-opened Illustrator and now it works, nvm haha
