Is there any way I can make the sphere look like the CS6 one in Creative Cloud 2017?

The color profiles are the same and neither of them are viewing the proofed version.  All layers are the same

Possibly a bug in cc 2017.1.1

You could report over here where it looks like a similar bug was reported.

Photoshop: Group linear dodge may acts different from the layer linear dodge | Photoshop Family Customer Community

Anyway, on this particular file if you go to Group 2 and in the Layer Styles dialog set the Blending Options Fill Opacity to 99

and uncheck Transparency Shapes Layer, then it seems to match photoshop cs6.
