Problem with saving.

I am using

a=app.activeDocument;
b=a.save();
$.writeln(a.saved);

This returns true but the file is not saved.

I am wondering what i am doing wrong?

I figured it out I had a scripts event manager running a script on save. So everytime it saved it would change the file so I added a save to the script that it referenced. What happens now is they press save it saves runs my script and then saves again.
