Site Search returning meta description content

I have a site-search that works most of the time.

However, if the search spec happens to find  <meta name="description" content="...match found in here..." /> and then encounters a liquid {% comment -%} within the string limit of the result, it can totally break the template/page layout of the result page...

Finding/returning results in the meta-tags seems questionable to me in the first place, but breaking the page due to not parsing liquid tags, seems like a bug.

Does anyone know of a way to configure the search to ignore meta-tags, or of a work-around to the problem?

Thanks in advance.
