Composition is giving split footage?

I am trying to bring in footage from a Garmin VIRB 360 camera which is 3840 x 2160. Every time I try to create a composition it is split across the middle!

If I do the same footage in PP it is OK.

I have tried manually creating the comp as well as dragging the footage to create, the same problem exists. I have tried different codecs but same thing. Is there a bug in AE or is it something with my set up?

Set your composition's resolution to (Auto).

Or, go into your preferences and turn off the "Hardware accelerate...panels" option.

Either one of them should solve it.

Thanks for your help. Setting the resolution to Auto solved the problem, not sure how I missed that 😉
