I'm running the latest version of Premier Pro CC on a mac running the latest operating system. I've got Apple ProRes 422 footage that has solid red frames when you look at it in premiere. These frames DO NOT appear if you view the footage in Quicktime player or some other app, so it's not the footage. The weird part is that it's always the same frame within Premier.
I've uninstalled/reinstalled, quit, restarted and all that. Nothing works. I thought this bug was supposed to be eliminated years ago?
Try deleting your preview files and re-importing the footage.
Did that. It's the same issue. As I said, I've completely uninstalled and reinstalled the app, started from scratch and imported footage into a brand new project and it still does it.
Sounds like corrupted footage. I've had clips that play fine in VLC but have blocky artifacts and red frames in Premiere. I fixed it by converting the clips in VLC and reimporting the new file.
