Purdue is changing the way they do business by engaging in a large-scale project to redesign business processes across the University. As part of this transformation project, Purdue will be implementing a new HCM system (SuccessFactors) and the SuccessFactors Learning Management System (LMS).

Seeking dedicated, driven training professional for a unique career growth opportunity to serve as an Instructional Designer/Trainer, which will play a pivotal role in the success of the Purdue Transformation project.  Will develop, produce and deliver training and communication programs that improve University employees’ knowledge of business processes to help them achieve excellence. Duties to include:

  • Conducting needs assessments and strategic learning assessments
  • Defining instructional, learning, or performance objectives, collaborating with stakeholders at all levels when necessary
  • Producing training materials based on needs assessments to be deployed across the University
  • Facilitating meetings, delivering classroom instruction, providing consultation with customers on an as-needed basis
  • Identifying audiences, messages, timing, and methods of effective communication related to course rollout and project deployment
  • Managing training and instructional design aspects of deployment of projects and products

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Technology, Curriculum and Instruction, Instructional Design, Communications, Computer Technology or related field.
  • One year of experience in instructional design, development/delivery of instructor-led technical and/or process training, or development/delivery/administration of online training.
  • Consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of education and additional experience in lieu of degree.
  • Demonstrated self-starter attitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage conflict.
  • Demonstrated resilience in dealing effectively with pressure, remaining optimistic and persistent even under adversity, and recovering quickly from setbacks.
  • Ability to deal openly and constructively with shortfalls and problems in service delivery.
  • Ability to adapt rapidly to new information, changing conditions or unexpected obstacles, with an openness to change and new information.
  • Ability to learn new technology and software packages quickly and efficiently.
  • Proficient in following software: Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe Captivate.

Preferred:

  • Experience developing training for software conversions.
  • Proficient in following software: Microsoft Office Project, SharePoint, Adobe Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Camtasia, SAP, SAP SuccessFactors, Blackboard.
