skip actionscript 1. then pick as2 or as3 to learn.
as2 is easier to learn. but as3 is the future.
I was searching the forum to see how to grab an object with the mouse and drag it over onto something, release it to trigger an event. I searched using many key words like drag and drop and couldn't find what I was looking for. I across this thread by accident. I looked on your website and saw under "snippets>Hit Test" you're doing exactly what it is I'm trying to do.
Is that done with simple behaviors or complex AS?
Try these guys for training..
I think I'm paying around $250 for a annual subscription, but it's worth it. I bought CS3 production bundle and the fee covers countless hours of on-line trainning for all the Adobe products. The neat thing about this training is that you can go back and look at it as many times as you like. Check it out, they give you a free trial.
I'm starting at level one of AS3.
that's advanced actionscript using a shape-based hittest. for most purposes, that's not needed.
