    Fatal Link Error

    nash99 Level 1
      Hi,
      I have a dataGrid.mxml file --
      In this mxml I have a datagrid with Itemrenderers in 16 columns. I created a mxml file for the button component(buttonRenderer.mxml) .
      Now the datagrid's dataprovider is an arrayCollection from the as File (dataGridDataProvider.as)

      The issue is I need to change the label on the button dynamocally (this button is a item renderer component) , the data provider (labelArray) for the label to be changed comes from the array I declared in the dataGridDataProvider.as .

      The problem is now I am trying to get the label array from the dataGridDataProvider.as which is the same for the datagrid .

      When I try to access this array to provide it as a data provider for the label ____ I get the error
      FATAL LINK ERROR
      can any body please address the problem
      please reply me if u need any more info.

          This is an item renderer, if you place it inside a datagrid, Flex uses the special property data to pass any info to an item renderer.

          <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
          <mx:VBox xmlns:mx=" http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml">

          <mx:HBox>
          <mx:TextInput text="{data.headertext}" />
          </mx:HBox>
          </mx:VBox>

          Hope this could help.

            Additionally, you can use a labelFunction if the exact wording isn't
            contained in any field.
