You can just temporarily increase the size of your composition. I would export a Photoshop file instead of a JPEG because you’ll probably want to be doing your mathe writing on the Photoshop file anyway.
You can also temporarily use the difference mode to wind up your matte painting on top of the original video. When you get everything lined up you can change the comp size and blend mode back to normal.

I would suggest exporting an image sequence out of AE.
Then import to PS with File > Scripts > Load Files Into Stack
Then go to Edit > Auto-Align Layers
If the camera really doesn't move and without parallax this would work.
Give it a try and let me know.
Edit: you can also try in PS already importing the video.
File > Import > Video Frames to Layers
If you just want to have an image of your background then export it to Photoshop, or set up a new comp with the necessary dimensions and export.
Thank you, that's exactly what i was looking for! I had already a sequence exported, I just didn't want to do it manually using the difference mode. Thank you so much.
Hi Nexahs11338 got it. I had no clue about the layer align method.
