I have been looking to switch from PC to Mac, and because of the prices I started looking at refurbished Mac's. This caught my attention:
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz
RAM: 2 GB (1GBx2)
Hard Drive: 320 GB
Optical Drive: DVDRW
Operating System: OS X 10.11 (El Capitan)
I believe it has a ATI Radeon 2600 pro video card
It's from a local computer chain that sells refurbished pc's and macs. Not worried about the hard drive because I use an external on my pc and would use it for this if I get it. Would definitely up the ram to 4 GB which Crucial says is the max. how do you think PS/LR CC would run on this?
The 2600 XT is 256 MB, definitely not good for 3D, 512 MN is Min, 8 GB ram is recommended
Basically 2008 tech and very sparse for 2017 software. You don't need a spinning beach ball every time you try to do something.
I wouldn't go earlier than 2012 and get on with an SSD type drive
