Hi,

We are receiving invoices from several costumers and sometimes the PDF is not readable.

It is only displaying Windings-symbols. What can be the problem?

I'm using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro under Windows 2012 Terminal Server.

I've added a screenshot of the file displaying wrong characters.

Is this text static or a part of a text field? Do you know how the file was created? (look under File - Properties - Description to find the Producer and Application used)

Hi, It's part of a text field.

Creation details:

Producer: Mac OS X 10.11.6 Quartz PDFcontext

PDF-version: 1.3 (Acrobat 4.x)

It can be fixed when logging off the user, but I comes back after a few documents. So, thats not a good solution.

(Acrobat XI is out of support now)

I cannot tell from the screen shot - is this inside an Acrobat Pro window or, for example, a browser or email window?

Does it also happen in Reader DC on a standalone computer?

Hi,

It's opened in Acrobat XI as a window. It's also with latest Adobe Reader.

Only one user has this problem.

Quartz is well known as such a bad PDF producer that this sort of thing is more or less expected. Not ideal I know.
