    Extended-crop area turns red

    Djuna A. Level 1

      Hi there,

Somehow the layers in this one file in Photoshop CC 2017 cannot be edited; only the channels can. The mode is CMYK. It was originally shot in TIFF (as were all the other files).

I thought I solved it by creating a duplicate layer. This permitted me to extend-crop and fill, etc. in the duplicate layer.

But now when I open the file, the extended-crop area is highlighted red again. How will this print out? Why is my layer 0 inaccessible in this one file alone, and is there any way to reverse that?

      Thanks!
