    sizing of images

    Level 7
Looking at making some changes to documentation for our software after a
series of changes. Need to take about 50 screenshots and save them
as png. The png files will be used in Word to create a manual and in
Dreamweaver for creating html files which will used with a java based
      help system.

Looking at the old png files, I see a lot of deminsions of 580 X 400+ or
thereabouts. When trying crt-n with my own screenshots, the size comes
      up 1028 X 708 X 72pixels/inch. Changing the numbers to 508 X 404 was a
      mistake.

Basically, I think the default size is way too big. What are the
various ways to cut down the size of this image? Any suggestions on how
      to handle screenshots?

      thanks,

Change your screen resolution to 640 x 480 before making the screen
              shot? :-)
