AnimateCC: How to update an adobe air desktop application

Hello. I just finished the course Animate CC Building AIR Desktop Applications by Joseph Labrecque. Very good course, however I wonder how I can make, and distribute a desktop application that I can update in the future. I am developing a e-learning player but I am still rater new to ActionScript so I recon  will be better in the future, so I like to be able to push updates out to users.

How do I do that?
