The timeline looks like this, but i'm sure it's supposed to look like this: fdfffdffddf.JPG

Hi

When you first open a timeline there is a drop down to create frame animation or video timeline

If you have inadvertently opened a frame animation, you can switch by going to the top right of the timeline and clicking to get the timeline menu

Switch the mode in the flyout menu in the top right corner. Perhaps reading the help might not be a bad idea, after all. Just saying....

Hi Dave,

For some reason, that option doesn't show. 😕

And neither does the: "create frame/video animation".

Strange.

Can you start a new blank document.

At the top right (as per your post 2) - get the drop down for workspaces (the small arrow next to essentials)  and switch to the motion workspace. Then, without doing anything else, take a screenshot of the entire screen

The motion workspace, I am not sure what you mean, is that option missing for me?

You are missing some options.

The only reference I could find to that was in this thread where the answer was to uninstall and re-install. If you do that don't forget to deactivate and reactivate

It is an old thread - to summarise, the symptoms were the same as yours - motion workspace options and video timeline options were missing. It was all restored after an uninstall and re-install of CS6.

You could try a preference reset first though.

Exit Photoshop

Hold down Ctrl+Alt+Shift whilst restarting Photoshop

The timing is tricky but when you get it right you will be prompted to delete the settings. Click Yes and Photoshop will rebuild its preferences.

If that doesn't work , then the uninstall/reinstall would be the next step
