Please add support for 9:16 aspect ratio. I like to edit my videos for Instagram. Please add this feature. Other video editors have this, but a huge and popular software like you is lacking this basic feature.

Please come out with an update.

Hi Karan,

Thanks for the feedback.

I will be passing it onto the concerned team so that we can include the feature in our future updates.

I use Premiere Pro for Instagram Stories in 9:16, KaranS. It's pretty easy to do there.

Thanks,

Kevin

How do you do it? I need to create video presentations for digital signage in 9:16 portrait mode. Most of the files I start with are in 16:9 and need to rotate them. After they are rotated I add in other images to "fill" the remaining space.

In the project assets window, right click the name of your sequence and go to "Sequence Settings." There you'll see frame size. Uncheck the proportional link and type in your desired pixel dimensions. Beware that Premiere only likes even numbers in the dimensions, so if you ask for 720x405, you're going to get 720x404. I usually use 800x450 for 9:16.

Once you've set your frame size, the preview window should show you your viewable area, so you can rotate and/or scale the clips in your sequence to fit. Good luck!

has this feature not yet been added? I can't find a way to set a new project with 9:16 ratio, or even to change the screen resolution!

Any help? even free softwares are able to do this..
