After Effects Installed but Won't Open

I have After Effects installed on my PC. When I click "Open" (in the creative cloud menu) I see a file appear on my desktop (After_FX_2017-10-12 which is today's date). Nothing else happens. I have tried this multiple times and now have multiple versions of the same file on desktop.

AE does not open from Start Menu either.

Here's a screen shot. The files that open are on the left side (they appear to be CRASH files)
