I will have a more comprehensive post later, but in the meanwhile, this document What's new and changed in the October 2017 release of Animate should give you all the information you need on the latest version.

As usual, I suggest having a backup copy of your files before you update your software and open your files in the latest version. I don't expect anything untoward, but just reiterating a standard practice.
