labels not showing on left side of screen?

On my laptop when I am deleting (red) or saving (yellow) on the left side of the screen it shows how many are in each category.  Then when I click on the delete box...that's what's deleted.  On my desktop, I went through a folder of 500 images...deleted what I did not want but could not see a panel on the left side showing unlabeled ...favorites or deletes.  Where is this and why are the two screens different.  Both have been updated

Thank you for responding.  I'm in Bridge and lo and behold I figured it out!  Hit the filter button and it appeared.
