Select and mask "Show Edge" greyed out...why?

All options work but "Show Edge"  Any thoughts?

Could you please let us know which Graphics card is installed in your system also which version of Photoshop are you using and on which operating system?

You need to be using the Refine Edge Brush tool for the Show Edge check box to be available.
