Just updated and well...issues as expected.
Not sure whats going on here but super laggy. My mbp is fine, just the 'newer' imac has the issue.

Right after you install and launch Photoshop CC 2018, it will build caches (such as for font previews and font recognition databases). This should normally not take more than 4 - 8 minutes. Subsequent launches should not cause high CPU usage.
For how long has Photoshop been running, and are you still seeing high CPU usage?

Both were open for a while. I was getting hanging while using the spot fix brush and had to force quit. Since have restarted PS 2018 and LR (I cant use LR Classic as it is extremely laggy on my machine). Will try and replicate and report back.

Hi, same issue here: each time I want to use the select and mask feature, CPU (on a PC under win10 core i7 2600k - 16Go) is running endless at 15-18%
Problem solved by uninstall - reinstall.

In fact not solved: a simple selection take a while with CPU at 43%...
Can't wait the end (several minutes)
I can't no longer use Photoshop!
Please help!
