I am recieving the error message "E_ADEPT_USER_UNKNOWN" every time i try to authorize my ereader (NOOK color) in digital editions.  It is telling me to go to http://adeactive.adobe.com/adept/Active.  I did not find this to be of any help because the error message is not listed there.  It is also providing this "um:uuid4088dd0-5778-490b-df804a9c5989", I am not sure what this is.  At the top of the box it also says it is an "Activation server error".

I have the same problem. I tried to desinstall and reinstall ADE, but the problem persists.

Could you solve your problem, and if yes what did you do ?

I have no "adept" anywhere on my computer. What to do? It's a Mac, so it might be buried deeply, but the issue remains. Any ideas? I'm assuming, with what you post, that Adept is an a different Adobe product?

Is there an answer for the Mac? It does not have the same structure as a PC, which the answer here is for.
