I was wondering if there was a way to see what's different between the InDesign CC Server scripting and the InDesign CC Desktop scripting. I'm developing scripts that are intended to run on a server, but my issue is that there are slight differences between the two.
For instance, on the desktop version, Document.exportFile() expects arguments in this order: format, to, showingOptions, using, versionComments, forceSave. On the server however, Document.exportFile() expects arguments in this order: format, to, using, showingOptions, versionComments, forceSave.
Small differences like that cause the desktop scripts to break when run on the server, but I have no way of developing on the server locally, since it's hosted and any script changes are treated like deploys.
Its quite infuriating. Any advice would be appreciated on how to develop server side scripts, in a desktop environment.
