Restoring catalog in Lightroom CC on MacBook

My MacBook was stolen.  I've downloaded Lightroom CC onto my new MacBook.  I have my photos and some catalogs on an external hard drive.  How do I restore a catalog for use on the new computer?

Lightroom CC does not use Catalogs. You may want to continue using the Lightroom Classic instead.

Is there a way for me to keep my tags, ratings and collections?  Should I consider Lightroom Classic for my old images?
