Hi there,
I have Photoshop CC 2018 and Lightroom Classic CC on MacOS High Sierra. When PS starts it looks for the LR Catalog but comes back and tells me it is empty. However, the Catalog is far from empty (LR working fine), it is just sitting on an external drive. Its there a way to get PS to recognise the Catalog, or am I being completely stupid?

Maybe someone who knows better will comment, but it seems to me from reading the photoshop cc 2018 new features summary, that
"You can now access all of your synced Lightroom photos directly from the Start workspace within Photoshop" means lr photos one has stored in adobe cloud storage, not on any of your local or external drives.
I have the LR Classic catalog on the startup drive and photoshop doesn't see that either.
See the section here under Accessing Lightroom Photos from the Photoshop CC Start Screen
