Yes, it is a very nice feature, and the ability to control it ourselves is super useful. I also love the symmetry tool. I wonder how many hours have been spent just playing aimlessly with that?
Brush Smoothing is almost as good as Lazy Nezumi Pro, (albeit without all the added extras that LNP gives you) so a useful addition for Mac users who couldn't use LNP.
Variable fonts is another useful addition. Especially for people using the Photography plan where (I think) you only get 10 (or maybe 20) synced fonts with TypeKit. A lot of TypeKit fonts come in a huge range of weights, so if you sync a font's entire weight range, you wipe out your max TypeKit allotment. It is also nice to be able to adjust font weight on the fly, so to speak — a much nicer workflow.
Those pop up videos when you select tools is annoying, but can be disabled by unchecking Rich Tool Tips in Preferences.
But one of my favourite new features is Image Size > Preserve Details 2. It is a very clear improvement on the original version.
Oh my....I COMPLETELY missed the Image Size > Preserve Details 2!!! Thanks so much for mentioning it!! I just tried it out and it is FANTASTIC Yahoo!!! Another wonderful feature that just made my day!!
Those other features you mentioned are VERY VERY welcome too!!
Have a play with Symmetry though. It's the sort of thing you might never use for real, but still have heaps of fun practicing with just in case
[EDIT] This is me after having my second eye cataract done today, so operating more or less blind. I should be able to actually see WTH I am doing this time tomorrow, and I _really_ shouldn't be straining my sight doing this right now anywat, so time to be Mr Sensible, and turn this computer off.
Your drawing/creation is just so much fun to look at!!
I have indeed been playing with symmetry!! It is a LOT of fun I have also been playing around with the variable fonts ....LOVE that!!
I hope your eye is much better by time you read this
