Certificate signing gives "the document was changed or damaged"

Hi, we have a valid PKI infrastructure with certificates for document signing issued. When we create a new pdf file and sign it with DC 2017.012.20098 the document is signed. But when we validate the signature, we get "the document was changed or damaged after it was signed" (I freely translated that from swedish). The certificate that was used for signing is validated OK. Does anyone know why the validation says that it was changed or damaged?

I can also mention that we have Acrobat Pro XI installed on the same box. If we sign the document in Pro, validation of the signature in DC is OK.

Hi Stefanh,

Ideally, this shouldn't happen, unless a file has really changed after it was signed.

Would try installing the latest updates for Reader/Acrobat DC and try reproducing this issue? Also, are you able to reproduce this issue with all the files you sign?

If you already have found a solution/workaround to this problem please update this discussion for future visitors.
