Hello, I'm new to using acrobat and lately I’ve been having trouble highlighting continuously and the application doesn’t seem to recognize text properly to allow me to highlight without it skipping randomly. Does anyone have a solution for this?

Sometimes I am prompted about some kind of assistive reading and after activating that, it reloads and highlighting works fine, but when I don’t get prompted, I don’t know how to fix that.

this is what  it looks like when I highlight

Simple solution that works for me: print your highlighting-corrupted .pdf as a .pdf.  Highlighting fixed.
