One more note, I am developing on the Windows platform and have the Dirapi.dll and Iml32.dll shockwave files for Windows but the Mac shockwave library files are not included in the Mac Cross Platform Resources and I need to locate the runtime file that is required.
I am new to Director. From what i understand is if you create a projector file .exe and run that from harddrive they dont need to download the shockwave player. The exe is self contained program.
If people view on the web then they need shockwave player...in which case they can download it easily if they dont have it.
Maybe i dont understand what your trying to do and why.
If you publish your projectors as "standard" projectors (as opposed to1 person found this helpful
"shockwave" projectors) in the publish settings, projector tab, then it
will automatically include everything required for the exe as far as
shockwave is concerned. You will still need to add in whatever xtras
you used if any, but simply using the "standard" player type will take
care of the shockwave issues for both Mac and PC.
Thanks Mike, this builds the .app package properly for distribution on a Mac CD.
