If the issue persists, please share the following details:
- Is it Acrobat or Reader installed, check from Help>About Acrobat/Reader.
- Is it a Mac or Windows machine?
- Dot version of Acrobat or Reader installed , check from Help>About Acrobat/Reader.

I did the updating, re-installing options and that of protected view before but still got no luck.
I did some code changes by not setting the object to Nothing after use/end of function (eg. set objPDDoc = nothing). It seems to work on both ACrobat 11 and DC.
