    Read Composite Data Error

I'm having a problem where it seems my PS files have been corrupted. This is the second time this has happened this week, but the problem is the same. It usually happens that files that I work on, when I try to open them, either in my personal PS 2018 or my school's PS 2017, for some reason have not properly saved even though I have. When I open the file it is as if it only saved up until a certain point and then all of the work after this has been lost. The highlighted file below shows that my last modification was at 11:01 AM, when in actuality I had worked on it until roughly 6:30 pm, and by then I had even renamed the file to HW-4 Interior.

When I try to open the file, I get this message:

When I click "Read composite data", I get this message:

I have already lost very important files, and days worth of work with this issue. If anybody has any suggestions, PLEASE help. I have just uninstalled and reinstalled PS 2018 on my computer but frankly I'm not sure if it's this one that's an issue or 2017.
