Triggering the head turn causes the head to move up away from the body slightly. All looks good in photoshop and in the Character Animator puppet mode ie everything sits correctly in position in each turn tween.
Right seem to have answered that myself in that doing some more work on the puppet and removing the arms as sub puppets and doing a bit of body pinning the problem has been corrected. Not sure why though. Need to look at more puppets doing similar things to mine.
