Yes, I thought so... Could you give me some tips how to do that?
I was thinking to make fake preloader which will preload only images in
mc._alpha=0, but then it will preload double time. Also, give me, please, some
tips how to make fake preloader.
My images are simultaneously preloading in Broadband Profiler. Could this be done with NetStream and how?
use the flash string methods to extract the image's path/name and then preload the image. once the image has preloaded, you can then retrieve it from the user's cache almost instantly when you assign your htmlText to your textfield.
I added new line in text file, like, &myPic=image001.jpg,image002.jpg...&myText=...
Then loadVars and then myString = myArray.split(",") and I get an array from string.
Now, I am preloading every image, an it works. Finally!
One question: Is it my imagination or not... Firefox doesn't cach images.
I have tried to load one swf many times, and firefox always doing new preload.
IE preloads only once. Every next refresh, image loading goes instantly.
How to make firefox to cach image and preload it only first time?
What about other browsers?
By the way, I'm using Firefox v22.214.171.124. I don't like v2.0.

browsers generally (and firefox in particular) have their own cache settings. you must have a setting that's preventing firefox from caching your images.
