I'm thinking of buying the iMac 5k 2017 model with 16gb of ram, a radeon pro 570 with 4gb of memory and an intel core i5 quad-core with 3,4GHz processor.

I use all the after effects 3rd party plugins, photoshop, illistrator etc.

I'm talking c4d courses swell.

Is this computer compatible?

Works as well or better than most Mac's. I'm running 4 of them right now with very few problems. Just make sure that you DO NOT install any NVIDIA drivers and don't use Ray-traced rendering unless you are prepared for a very long render.
