Hi DesignRob,

We are aware of the issue that you have mentioned where InDesign crashes while using Eyedropper tool with text inside a table.

We are currently investigating into it.

Other issues that are being reported on this thread are mainly crash on launch.

Why would you replace the 2018 crash reporter with the 2017 crash reporter? Seems that may lead to other issues. Why not just use CC 2017 then? Just wondering if this is a viable solution or just temp.

Because the crashreporter in 2018 is corrupt and you cannot open 2018 files in 2017. Probably Adobe will come with a fix in the future for this

Okay I didn't realize people with 2017 cannot open 2018 documents. I am the only one on the team testing 2018 out and haven't needed to open 2018 in 2017 yet. Thanks for the info!

This fix was only for the five specific issues described in the document. I think the engineers are still investigating other issues in order to create an update.

Tried the downloaded fix. Did not have an effect. Still crashed immediately after opening.

Can you explain again how to generate a crash report?

I have the same problem, InDesign CC 2018 is log out when just after opening.

I deleted the preference folders as you indicated. I installed BugFixes_MAC as you indicated.

But result is always same, crashed immediately after opening…

I applied the fix and it did not fix my issues. it still crashes on launching. My crash report is the begin sent to Apple but I can send one to you if you let me know where. Strange thing is we have 7 iMacs all running OS10.12.6. All but 2 work with ID2018 We checking to see if there is something different but can find any disparages between the working and non working. One thing to note is the reason code for the termination is DYLD, [0x1] Libary missing. Then there is a line under Dyld Error message:Image not found. Could this be the slash screen image used when ID launches?

Please restart the machine and Trash Preference and cache.

Launch InDesign
