The "iframe" feature for publish online, does it stop working?

With YouTube or Vimeo iframe code, you copy the code and paste it. A gray box appears, then a frame for the video.

But I’m not aware that you can cause any web site to appear in an iframe in InDesign.

How exactly are you putting this into InDesign?
