I am having trouble keeping the text crisp in an image when I export to a .JPG - eg. I have a coloured background with bold text - within Photoshop it looks crisp and clear - as soon as I export it to a JPG file the text is no longer crisp - what am I doing wrong? I am sure it has to do with my preferences - hope you can help.

What does this mean? What are you doing? Export to where?

Hi ya - thanks for replying. My preferences are
Quick Export Quality
JPG Quality 100
and
Colour space
Convert to sRGB
I am exporting a basic square aqua background image with black text - some text is larger and more bold and other text is light. I did get in touch with Adobe support yesterday - they had a look at my screen and felt it looked clear but I didn't. I don't know maybe I am being too critical.

You should look at the resolution as well. For printing, resolution in the 240-300px/in range is desirable. For web work, 72px/in is ok.

No worries thanks it is for our website - when you say 72px/in where do I find that preference?

Is the 72px/in in preferences under Units & Rulers?? if it is - it is already set to that.
