Hello, that is not a current feature, but we are always interested in ways to improve. I'm curious, why would you prefer white?
It's just coz I usually design websites on white background. It's not a big problem, but wouldn't it be more convenient if you could change the color as you like?
This has been requested and is on the list for consideration, it's just that the list is long... <grin>
I came to this thread because I wanted to read about the change background posibility.
The fact is that this ain't about preferences Sami, It'll be a huge improvement on Kuler if it allows to change background. Brightness in a color depends on contrast, so, I just can't see if that's the right color because I don't make everything tih black background.
Perhaps switching the background to the chosen base color will be great. I don't know, but if the purpose of Kuler is to create and share color schemes, it HAS to have a changeable background ;)
Great app tho.
Greetings from Buenos Aires
(Sorry, this one is to susbribe to the topic ;))
I think it would be a great feature, if you could take one of the Themes you've created in kuler, then apply it to the kuler.com website. Perhaps even an interface that would let you switch which colors to apply to each element on the page.
There would be a standard, "Click to apply this Theme to kuler.com" and a "Change the swatches to apply to specific page elements" so that you could modify and immediately see the results.
That way you would be able to quickly see how the colors would all interact on a website.
The ability to dynamically change the colors of your artwork using a preselected color theme is available in the Illustrator CS3 Live Color feature. I understand that probably don't create your web pages in this application, but it might be useful for other work that you do. It case you didn't know, kuler has a bi-directional link with Live Color as they share the same core technology for creating color themes. You can see Live Color at work from the follow video.
