Several months ago, I installed the trial version of RH7.
Making a purchase wasn't urgent, so I let the trial expire.
Now I need to work on a help project again, and when I try to
run my licensed copy of RH X5, it claims it needs to be activated.
Not surprisingly, it can't reach the Macromedia activation server.
I uninstalled RH7, but RH X5 is still broken.
I don't think so. I last installed X5 within the past twelve
months and there was no problem. I am more inclined to think that
the RH7 installation has somehow clobbered things, one of the
reasons I advise against installing the trial on a production
Maybe uninstalling X5 and reinstalling would help. You might
need to do the full uninstall. See Installing RH on my site.
