I'll start by saying that I'm frankly VERY DISAPPOINTED that adobe are no longer offering direct support for Lightroom and that refering support to a forum is lazy and cheap!

Moving past my frustration, Lightroom has become very laggy and is crashing mid-operation. This has happened to me previously and when they did offer support I spoke with someone who logged into the computer remotely and helped me to delete and recreate the preference files without the loss of any information, presets, or other display preferences. Back then, this was very much appreciated.

Now that this is no-longer the case, is there anyone out there that can help me with this process?

What version of Lightroom are you really talking about? You have asked your question in the forum for the all new cloud-based Lightroom CC. Please state the exact version of Lightroom you are using as well as the operating system installed on your computer. If you are NOT using the new Lightroom CC, perhaps this link will give you the information you need on how to reset your preferences:

How to set Lightroom Classic CC preferences

This information is relevant for Lightroom 6 as well.
