opening premiere 2018 to 2017

I'm wondering if it is possible to open a premiere pro 2018 project file in premiere pro 2017 and continue to edit. Basically can I move backward in versions to continue to edit a project.

As far as I know... no

Project files are not backwards compatible

You can but you have to export the 2018 project as a XML and import that into 2017.

Might loose some features.

We used to do that with the CS versions.

Did not know it was also possible with the CC versions.

Thank you!!!!! Although my project is crashing while trying to export a clip, at least I can open and recreate!
