I have Acrobat Professional 12. I filled out some important forms, saved the document, closed, and when I reopened the fields were empty. How can I retrieve information, and what to do next time when I need to fill out forms? Thank you.
There's no such thing as "Acrobat Professional 12". Do you mean Acrobat DC Pro?
At any rate, it's possible there's a script embedded in the file that's causing this, as it's not normal behavior.
To test it, fill in the file, save it, then disable JavaScript (Edit - Preferences - JavaScript), close the file and then re-open it. If the data is still there, then it was a script. Otherwise it could be a corrupt file.

If the file is editable it should be possible to remove the code that does it, by the way.
