Can't find Flash in Program list

    GeordieL Level 1

I downloaded Flash Player a few days ago (together with a McAfee product) and it appeared to install OK - although there was nothing to confirm this other than the McAfee which I've uninstalled because I don't need it.   However, although I can see Adobe Flash Player 27 PPAPI in Add or Remove Programs as v27.0.0.187 I can't see it in the Programs list on my PC (Win 7 Pro).  Moreover, Flash Player doesn't run when I access items which need it.  Why is this?

      My browser is Chrome v62

      Any advice will be welcomed.

      Tks in anticipation

Google embeds Flash Player in Chrome, as such, there is no need to install the separate PPAPI plugin.

Google does disable Flash Player by default and users must enable it, usually per site. See Use or fix Flash audio & video - Computer - Google Chrome Help  for assistance.  If you've enabled Flash following the instructions on Google's support document and Flash content still doesn't display, it's possible it's still being blocked by Google's Site Engagement Index score.  See Site Engagement - The Chromium Projects for more information

Not exactly sure what you mean by "can't see it in the Programs list on my PC".  Flash Player is a browse plugin, as such doesn't display in in C:\Program Files. It does, however, install to C:\WIndows\System32\Macromed\Flash, and also to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash on a 64-bit OS.
