"Adobe Acrobat was installed as a part of a suite"

"...To enable the Adobe acrobat, please start another component of this suite as Adobe Photo Shop"

- says the message box and terminates the acrobat session. I'm out and seething (g). Just wanted to add a signature to an NDA and ... no way, Jose.

It is indeed a suite (CS4), but then, I would very much appreciate if I could use my Acrobat Pro without resorting to

a) running Photoshop first before looking at some PDF file (duh!) or

b) using a copycat PDF software. (Duh squared)

Would gladly pay up, just to get rid of this message box.

"Why not Acrobat AC?  or Acrobat Reader?" My practical answer: "why?"

You don't need to do it each time, just once, to activate the suite.
