I am trying to create a 3D extrusion layer from a text layer, but it keeps saying this cannot be completed because I do not have enough RAM space. I am new to photoshop so I'm not sure if there is something I'm just missing or if there are settings I need to change! I have used a 3D layer previously so I'm thinking this must just be more complex. I am using Photoshop CC 2018 version. I am also fairly new to Macs as I have been a PC user so this may be part of the issue! Thanks so much.
Asiode from your Mac not being particularly powerful for this stuff, change your procedures: convert the text to vector paths, clean up the paths and then extrude those. A lot of times complex fonts simply contain too many details, resulting in PS attempting to generate gigazillions of polygons, which would be taxing even on much more powerful machines or make them go *boom*.
