After updating indesign, I get the message that I don't have Garamond or Caslon.

Is this a message you get when opening an existing InDesign document which has those two fonts or just any time you open a new or existing document? How are your fonts installed on your machine? Are you on a Mac or PC and what OS are you using? Please be specific as to the problem you're having and, if possible, please post a screen shot which shows the message that you are receiving.

What version did you upgrade from? if it was pre-Creative Cloud then that makes sense because those fonts are no longer installed on your machine as part of the CC installation. If you go to the Type menu in InDesign CC, you can choose “Add fonts from Typekit” and then activate the font’s you need just as Barb said above.
