Are they linked or fully imported? Perhaps it's a MIME-type issue.

They're linked, and I'm assuming they've uploaded all the files to their
server just as I had them in the ZIP file I sent (their IT guy said he
did). I can easily duplicate the problem on our server by changing the
name of the folder the audio files are in, though, so my guess is
something got goofed up or left out when he uploaded it to their site.
Now, just to show my ignorance, what do you mean by "MIME-type issue?"

If your web server doesn't "understand" how to flag the files it's
serving, it can cause issues. The way to remedy this is to add a MIME
type to the list of files it "understands"
