is there a way to run news.removeMovieClip(); onLeaveFrame?
there is no onLeaveFrame event. you'd have to create your own which is probably more difficult than adding that line of code to each button that causes your timeline to advance.
heheh kglad, thanks again. that's what i thought and it's good to have you to back that up.
actually i decided to load movie into a pre-created empty mc instead of using createEmptyMovieClip
then the swf disappear after changing frame. guess that solved the problem.
