Hi,
I have just purchased a new latop with i7 processor, 12 GB RAM, 560GB SSD 2TB HDD and Nvidia GeForce 940mx graphics card. However Photoshop isn't performing as well as I would have expected with these specs. brush lag when using my graphics tablet and occasional crashes are occurring.
Is my graphics card compatible and powerful enough and does it support open CL? Do I need to return my laptop and get one with a better graphics card?

Thanks Dave,
so you think it is the integrated graphics card causing the problem rather than my Nvidia one being inadequate?
I have already set the Nvidia card as my preferred graphics processor an i'm reluctant to disable the integrated card as it causes system instability...any suggestions on how to prevent Photoshop from using it?
